I emailed the author a while ago about it and he claimed it was due to UWP being less open and functional than WP 8. And yet again Forecast is left out in the cold by WC when comparing apps.

I would never try replacing MSN Weather. It took too long to get to MinuteCast. It is still too slow on my XL. The MSN Weather is all I need and it works decently on my , I don’t worry about the lock screen missing feature since 8.

It’s the best app out there for a quick glance at the current weather on a live tile or your lock screen, and for lots of info and trends in the app itself.

It’s a shame as an Australian there just aren’t any good weather apps. Temperatures vary wildly from what’s accurate, none will list wind chill, the only apps that do get info from Australian sources are rarely updated with API updates in the background to keep them running, but basically abandoned as far as the apps are concerned.

MSN Weather app is good for me. I’ve been using Amazing Weather for a very long time. But changes in W10M somehow prevents the live tile into updating hourly.
